What Fiber Laser Engraving Actually Does

Unlike printing, stamping, or paint, fiber laser engraving physically alters the surface of the metal. The mark is the metal — it can't peel off, fade in the sun, or wash away. Whether you need a tiny serial number on a tool or a deep, dramatic logo on a presentation gift, the laser handles it without consumables, ink, or chemicals.

Permanent

Engraved marks last as long as the metal does. Ideal for asset tags, serial numbers, and anything that needs to survive years of use, weather, or industrial environments.

Photo-Realistic Detail

Modern fiber laser engraving can reproduce photographs, logos, and fine line art with detail that surprises people the first time they see it on metal.

Multiple Mark Types

Surface annealing for color contrast on stainless and titanium, deep engraving for tactile feel, etching for fine detail, and color-change marking on anodized aluminum.

One Piece or a Hundred

Engrave a single memorial gift or a batch of serialized inventory tags. The setup is the same.

What we don't currently do: wood, leather, glass, slate, or acrylic engraving. Our fiber laser is a metal specialist. If you need engraving on those materials, we can usually point you to someone in the area who does that work.

How It Works

Tell Us What & On What

Email or text the artwork (vector preferred, but we can work with PNG, JPG, or even a photo of a sketch) and tell us what metal item you want it engraved on.

Approve a Mockup

For custom work, we send back a digital mockup before any engraving happens. Adjust placement, size, or design until it's exactly what you want.

Engrave & Return

Once you approve, we engrave, inspect, and ship or hand off. Most small jobs turn around in a few days.

This Isn't a Job — It's Our Passion

The favorite jobs are the personal ones. The memorial piece for a parent, the wedding gift for a best friend, the company logo etched into the founder's first prototype. Pixel-perfect doesn't matter as much as meaningful. Tell us the story behind it and we'll make sure the engraving lives up to it.

Common Questions

Can you engrave something I bought elsewhere?

Yes — that's how most personal engraving works. Bring or ship us the item, and we'll engrave it. Just confirm with us first that it's metal we can work with.

What artwork formats work best?

Vector files (SVG, AI, PDF) give the cleanest results. High-resolution PNG or JPG also works, especially for photo engraving on flat metal.

Can you engrave a photograph onto metal?

Yes — photo engraving on stainless or anodized aluminum gives stunning results. Send the highest-resolution version of the photo you have.

How small can the text be?

Smaller than you'd think. We've engraved readable serial numbers under 1mm tall. For decorative work, we'll recommend a minimum text size based on the metal and finish.

Do you engrave wood, leather, or glass?

Not currently — our fiber laser is specifically tuned for metal. We may add a CO2 or diode laser in the future for those materials, but for now we're a metal-only engraving shop.

Got a piece of metal that needs a mark?

Send us the artwork and the item, and we'll handle the rest.
